Works well, quiet, efficient

Have had this a few months, and have no problem with it. Some mentioned the scanner being a problem, I have had no problem the print is clear and dark. My Dell computer that is 10 yrs old will only print to the printer if I save what I want to a pdf file first. My android tablet, my husbands laptop print to it just fine.. The only thing is my Iphone does not see the printer and I do not see anything in the book to fix this.

I like Canon for their excellent customer support, and because of this I will overlook a couple of shortcomings with this machine. First, I am basically satisfied so far (have owned it 2 months and use it a little bit almost daily). Printing is fast, so far no jams. But for some reason the scans are pale, and there's no way I can see to darken them -- an issue worth noting if you want to buy this principally as a scanner. Another reviewer mentioned an annoying touch-screen operation; the tilting screen pushes back when you touch it, there's a small lag between touching and operation, and sometimes you have to jab a button a few times for the touch to "take." Overall, though, it functions OK for a home office, and as I wanted an economical printer, I think I got what I paid for.

I bought this to replace a D***. The D*** was a much better scanner. I was able to lighten or darken the scan, something I can't do with this and the highest dpi on this is 300! The D*** went into up to 2000. I should have that choice. The scanned document is often so pale signatures are not legible. I'll have to replace this. I'm tired of sending pics of signatures. The printer portion is great, there is a lag from when I press print to when the document appears, but it's not a problem.
